It's New Year's Eve, 1938. On board the private yacht of the wealthy and eccentric Ian Masque, you find yourself part of a "select" group of guests invited to an "unusual" New Year's Eve party. Each guest has a story to tell, but their connection to you and to each other remains hidden. Something strange is bound to happen, and everyone is a suspect.

I have never been a game player but after trying Cluedo Chronicles I am now hooked on this kind of mystery/detection game, it has everything from excellent story line, superb graphic's and an air of realism about the clues and solutions.A thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended game.

A very intriguing game, atmospheric music, and characters that add to the mystery.It made me think a lot, and solving the clues was fun, if a bit frustrating at times.It piqued my curiosity, and as I got the hang of it, I found it so interesting,picking out the clues, and solving them, that I wished it had gone on longer. Graphics and sounds are good too,Scenery as well, in all, I am glad I bought it.It does take a bit of patience, though.

We had great fun playing this game. Each puzzle that you have to solve in order to progress further is challenging and there is the opportunity to be given extra clues if you get stuck (which we made use of several times). We particularly enjoyed trying to solve the rebus (where words are represented by pictures). Working out the Chinese puzzles took a bit too long, otherwise no complaints. The atmosphere is excellent, helped by some eerie music, as the characters make their way to a New Year's Eve party hosted by the eccentric Ian Masque on his mountaintop retreat. In addition to the traditional Cluedo characters there are some new ones, making it more difficult to spot that murderer. All these characters are brought cleverly to life from the drink-clutching Colonel Mustard to the enigmatic Miss Scarlet.
This is supposed to be the first of a series so we are hoping that it won't be too long before the next one comes along. Hours of fun await.
