The Autobot Brothers are finally together again! 28 Mar 2006

Transformers Alternators Sunstreaker is one of the most requested toys since the line began in 2003. Finally Hasbro and to demands of Customers and have released the Dead End mold in its true form. The G1 Autobot Brothers are finally together again.

Sunstreaker was originally supposed to be released in 2003, but Hasbro and Takara wanted to put some Decepticons in the line of updated G1 transformers, so Sunstreaker's body was recolored and given the name of the Stunticon Dead End. On Sunstreaker the bright yellow is reminiscent of the old G1 lamborghini. The black stripes on the body make him look like a pace car.

Transformation wise Sunstreaker is one of the easier transformers in the line. It may be a liitle hard at first but after a few tries it should come naturally.

Whether displayed in robot mode or vehicle mode next to his brother Sideswipe, Sunstreaker is one of the more striking figures in the Alternators line. An essential piece for fans of the Alternators line.

Sunny Sunstreaker 14 Feb 2008

Okay, Sunstreaker like his cartoon counterpart can be a pain in the butt. I only mean that in the nicest of ways though. Over all he is a lovely figure. The detailing inside the Viper is very nice, along with the body of the car. I have transformed him once into robot mode, then back to a Viper again just to check out what he looked like. He has a great stubborn expression on his face, very much describing his character.

The transformation was a bit confusing at some point for me (that adds that star to my 'educational value'. He does take some thought.) rating since a piece did not want to cooperate with me and I had to be a little rough with it to get it into slide into the right spot. I think it was a final movement on getting his head in place. It was somewhat tight and wouldn't sit right. Once it was in place he looked nice. When transformed back into a Viper both his doors don't like to be closed fully at the same time due to the moving of the joints not going back exactly as he was when first opened. Even with things not lining perfectly I'd recommend him for an adult collector of cars/ Transformers. He's a vivid yellow and makes a boring shelf brighter.

The best of the best 5 Dec 2007
By Avalon - Published on Amazon.com

My two boys own a lot of Transformers. This one is the best, no contest. This one is very durable. I have stepped on it twice and none of the pieces broke or popped off! My three year old can turn it from a car to a bot. So it is fairly easy but complex enough that it actually looks like a robot and not a car with a head like some of the others. I have actually ordered a second one because this is the favorite out of the whole pile including a $50 optimus prime!
For looks or play, definately own this one!
