A wonderful brightly coloured contraption, which doesn't take up too much space in the children's bedroom! Great for improving dexterity, memory, concentration etc and at times, hysteria, when on the "pass it" mode. My 7 and 11 year olds do well with this toy, they are quite contented to play individually and get the best score they can. There are 2 modes "Beat Bop" and "Vox Bop" one of which commands you via a voice and the other in which you are commanded by a sound, both are entertaining although the sound one is more difficult. Ideal for parties...try doing this after a couple of drinks!!Only gripe is the "High score" of 250 was attainable by my 11 year old after a week or two. Therefore the toy no longer poses a challenge to her.

These kind of games don't usually appeal to me - but this had me hooked. Whether playing on your own or with a group it is undeniably addictive.
For those of you who are over 30 and can remember the electronic game "Simon" this is a far superior, jazzed up progression of that. But if you think remembering Simon means you're too grown up for Bop It think again! It's impossible to sit and watch others play - you just want to join in. Easy to hold, easy to use - the only hard bit is getting good at it! ..and if you feel guilty for wiling away so many hours, just be consoled by the fact you're improving your reflexes and dexterity in the process

Lets face it, once we get over 20 years old and don't have kids, we forget how great toys can be, so when my sisters came around with this I was quite interested in playing it.The game is a hand-eye coordination test which is fun. This American guy yells BOP It, so you hit the big round button in the middle, flick it, pull it, twist it and spin it are also options. If you hit the wrong thing it's over. The game isn't just solo fun, your friend can play it too, there's a head-to-head, and a version where you have to colaborate during the game - this is where a player plays for a minute or so and gives it to a friend. The unit takes 2 AA batteries and has a headphone socket when you get fed up of hearing them play with it, and for people who get in a zone. I really enjoyed playing with it, don't think my sisters liked me hogging it though! Well worth getting - fun for the whole family!
