The connect4 is as expected, great game with fold up trays for the coins to allow it to get boxed up and clever 'coin' dispensers at the side to hold the 'coins' while playing. HOWEVER for a travel set you would expect that you dont have to lug the packaging around with you, just the game, however there is nowhere to keep the coins once the plastic bag has been opened for the first game. So all the coins go everywhere and you have to take the box around which is considerably larger than the game itself. Just seems a silly failiure. If they made the coin dispensers 'lock' to hold the coins in then it could be self-contained for travel and would be so much better. Overall though its a good game and a good travel size. Not too small.

Love this game. Size was perfect. Loved the look generally. Major problem though is that there's nowhere to securely store the pieces while travelling. Ended up fishing around my bag to retrieve them. Have lost a few already and having to transport it round in a poly bag. Not ideal :0( Shames because it's a cracking wee game.

This game is a timeless classic and whilst we did play this on holiday, I would say that it was a pain to pack in our luggae for a couple of reasons:
1. when the item is laid on its side, the counters fall out of the side stacks (they slip through the slots) and disappear in your luggage
2. The outer packaging is very flimsy so offers no protection if you pack this in "hold" luggage
3. It is quite a large item for a "travel" game, against some smaller options
But I am still glad we bought this.

This is a great quality travel toy and is played with lots by all the family. We got this classic game in small form as a stocking filler last Christmas and is perfect for adults to play with the children at home or on holiday. It is small enough to leave out on the side at home for periods of time, the children and more so parents/grandparents pick it up and enjoy a short game or a longer battle of strategy! We have taken it away with us a couple of times, each time we do however, it comes back with one or two less counters, although no fault of the product as the counters store conveniently and securely in the tubes at each side.
