Monopoly as you have never seen it before. The circular board with all new graphics are introduced to celebrate Monopoly's 75th Anniversary. Monopoly has never looked so cool. Round is the new square, white is the new green... sound is the new way. The Electronic Banking Unit with built in songs and sound effects will make this a Monopoly experience that you will love. The electronic unit holds a selection of music and sounds, which each relate to a Chance outcome. Some are good, some are bad so there's an element of luck built in too. Listen for the sound and read the scrolling screen to tell you what to do. You can also decide to risk it and take the Chance yourself or give it to an opponent. It also has electronic banking feature, replacing the cash in the game with cards. For the first time ever a Monopoly Board game with sounds and music that influence your game play.
Travel around the Revolutionary board buying, selling and dealing in properties. The electronic unit and banking cards replace cash in the game. Land on one of the four new Zone spaces to take a Chance and use the new electronic unit. Decide if you want to take a Chance card for yourself or do you want the Chance card to affect other players? It may be good or it may be bad--it’s a risky business. Once you have decided which person it will affect, look at which zone they are in on the board--the cycle zone, the car zone, the rocket zone or the walking zone. Confirm it to everyone by playing the music that represents where they are on the board and then let fate take its role. Will you send them laughing all the way to Go to collect $2M dollars? Or will the sound of the Jail door slamming let you know you’ve made the right decision and sent them straight to jail?
Don’t want to risk a Chance card? Move to next unowned property and put it up for auction for quicker gameplay. If all properties are owned the great new Forced Deal rule allows you to switch a property you own with one from a player of your choice but you can’t avoid the hands of fate for the whole game. Randomly the electronic unit will give out a Chance card, and if it’s your turn you know what to do.

I bought this game for my children (aged 8&7), they already played the original version and wanted to try something different. The children really liked the credit cards and the games unit is very straight forward and easy to use. I am not sure that the different 'zones' are needed but the children still enjoyed that aspect of the game.
Overall I would highly recommend Monopoly Revolution.

Reading through all the previous reviews, there are many positives that I agree with and many negatives I agree with, and some of them contradict each other!
We got this game for Christmas. My husband and our 2 boys (10 and 7) have played it 3 times now and have enjoyed the experience overall
Some of the positives I would say Revolution has over the original version:
NO PAPER MONEY
- you have to put your card in the machine everytime you want to know ur balance (unless of course u can keep track in your head!)
- children no longer learn to count and give correct change
- every player can do their own transactions so you don't NEED to nominate a banker
PROPERTY SPACES
You are forced to buy or auction the property - if the player chooses not to buy at least the other players get a chance to buy it instead
RANDOM CHANCES
The machine will randomly give out chances through the game to the last player to use the machine (not always tho) - adds a bit of fun to the proceedings!

I have three children aged from 6 to 10. They love this version, has kept them entertained for hours. The pop songs on the unit also add to the gaming experience. Excellent buy, especially at the lower price. Definately recommend.
