When Elefun blows his trunk, butterflies fly into the air. This very cute baby elephant will have your children and their friends jumping with joy as they scramble to collect the most butterflies. With one deep breath and a few huffs and puffs the elephant blows his 4' trunk, sending colourful butterflies spiralling high into the air. You never know where they will tumble to, so grab your net and get ready to start catching! Elefun lets your children practice their catching skills with the handy butterfly nets. Or, if they haven't quite got the hang of swinging the net around yet, they can still win the game by quickly gathering up the butterflies from the floor. Win or lose, Elefun is a game that will keep them entertained every time. Suitable for up to 4 players aged 3 years and over, Elefun requires 4 x C batteries (not included).

This product was bought as a Christmas gift for our son.
It worked for about 10 mins on (new) high quality alkaline (disposable) batteries and then the butterflies started to come out few and far between as the motor slowed.
We replaced the disposables with high quality Ansmann Rechargeable C cells and it has since been fantastic, lots of oomph and butterflies come out quickly every time.
This works because rechargeable batteries are able to deliver power more efficiently to the motor (different chemistry and electrical properties to disposables).

Bought this recently along with the Ansmann rechargeable batteries (thanks Busy Dad for the top tip), for anyone that's interested I bought 4 x C Cells, Ansmann MaxE rechargeables 4500 Mah, makes it expensive, but definitely works without the issues found in other reviews. The butterflies don't come out fast and furious but they do come out a few at a time. My son who is nearly 3 loves it, and I've put it as educational for him as it will help with his hand eye coordination, or at least hopefully it will once he gets past screaming with excitement when he sees the butterflies shoot out the top!
The butterflies are a little fragile so you have to be careful with the little ones handling them, and the nets are a bit basic but essentially they work.
I would highly recommend this product, it is fun, but bear in mind the additional cost needed when adding on the rechargeable batteries. Even with the additional cost I've bought it and expect it to provided hours of fun!

We all love this game. It is one that the whole family can enjoy together (even our 11 year old son who most certainly would not admit to it in public!). We actually have four extra nets and the butterflies from the first time we had this game (it only broke as it had been damaged during a house move) and I'm glad I kept hold of them. It means we can play with 8 people which is great for when we have a houseful of friends and family. You can count the butterflies in your childs net and seperate them into colours too, so if you want to use it as an educational tool you can. We just like it for the jumping around!
