Product Description

Book Description

When the electrician Harvey Angell zaps into Ballantyre Road, he changes the lives of all the occupants - particularly Henry. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

Product Description

Henry feels there is something mysterious about Aunt Agatha's new tenant. Despite his tool-box and his talk of watts and volts, Harvey Angell is no ordinary electrician. He calls himself a "homer" and a homer can put love back into people's lives. He certainly revolutionizes Ballantyre Road.

A bit of something for everybody 19 Feb 2005
By James A - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I am a teacher, so I picked up the book wondering if children would take to it. In the end, I was bowled over by it.

For me, this is considered lightweight reading. It's actually written for older children. But that's not the point. It's meant for everyone. There's a bit of everything for everyone, you've got fantasy, mystery, and humour. But the key idea is ultimately about making connections, connecting oneself with others and connecting oneself with one's past. Doesn't that make it a topic that a teacher can use to connect with her students? Ain't that something that parents should do to connect with their children? Shouldn't everyone be making connections somehow? Go read the book first.
A good children book 17 Feb 2002
By Nicole - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I felt like I was reading a re-make of Mary Poppin, except it has far less details, and did not put too much into building the characters of the book. It's good for a quick read.

Excellent for children though 'cause everything is laid out clearly.
