The Harvest Moon story continues in Zephyr Town where there was once a world famous bazaar and shoppers from distant lands would gather to purchase goods. Unfortunately, the bazaar has now fallen into despair and very few visitors come to the weekly gathering. You have recently moved to Zephyr Town to take over the run-down farm on the outskirts of town and hopefully, with your hard work, the town’s bazaar will be revitalised and become great once again!
With ten new characters and all new crops, players can connect with friends over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection: shopping at their bazaar, helping their farming or go fishing in their streams.

Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar brings all the beloved and classic simulation gameplay of the Harvest Moon series to the DS/DSi platforms, while adding a new emphasis on selling at the town bazaar. Along with farming, animal husbandry and marriage, each in-game week players set up shop in the bazaar, hoping to resurrect the marketplace's faded glory, as well as make money. Additional game features include four-player game support, the ability to manufacture special goods and improved controls.

Fun:
This game is brilliant and in my opinion the best of the Harvest Moon games. There is so much to do and so little time to do it that my character hardly ever gets to bed before 2am! And the Bazaars are absolutely frantic. My only fault with the game is not being able to save it during the day. That makes it difficult to play in the odd moment as you seldom have time to do all the work for a single day before having to go back to work.

i bought this game for my 11 yr old son and he just loves playing it, he says its the best harvest moon game he's played and would rate it 5 stars. the best thing about this game is the grand bazaar where you sell things on a farm which he finds interesting and really fun. he's also got the newest harvest moon game on wii called animal parade but he says this game is alot better than the wii one. hope this info is useful, brilliant game at a very good price on amazon.

I bought this game for my mother as a gift and ended up playing it myself as it has two save files and we could compete for the best farm. I've played most of the handheld Harvest Moon games and I didn't like any of the more 3d ones, preferring the older and original Harvest Moon DS (which I still believe is the best HM game).
While all of the newer Harvest Moon games have been different in their own way, I found them all quite boring and not as much fun to play. Grand Bazaar changes this, it is much more fun to play and better as a game in general. Alot of the things that made the earlier games irritating have been removed. A great example is when you are feeding your animals, in the earlier games you would pick the fodder up, go to the fodder bin, press A and then a menu would come up asking you if you were sure you wanted to feed the animals (you obviously were, the game didn't even let you overfill the bins, it was just a useless menu that made feeding animals take longer than it should have done). In Grand Bazaar you throw the food in, simple as that. The game is full of little time saving tweaks that make it a pleasure to play, and the Bazaar system is good fun. If you are new to the Harvest Moon games, I would recommend you buy the original Harvest Moon DS first, but if you are looking for a newer version then this is the one to buy.
