Some people may find this love story uncomfortable due to the issues raised (a quadriplegic hero).

I was interested in this due to the Harvard educated heroine (the author has written another book featuring a quadriplegic hero but no Harvard heroine). I love reading about intelligent girls but with the added quadriplegic hero made this LOVE story unique as it's not a common theme.

It's easier to ignore (or rendered de-sensitized) to disabilities, suffering and physical impairments.

We like our hero's "manly" - the whole ALPHA craze. If a man has the slightest "weakness" (despite a colossal intelligence which would is far more powerful than brawn) some romance readers may shudder away from such blatant deflection from the "tall, dark, handsome, wealthy, ALPHA" cliche.

Departing from the established norm requires an imagination to produce an engrossing tale so that romance readers can engage with the characters in their love seeking quest. Thankfully this author has provided a LOVE story that's engrossing, emotional (i teared up), ROMANTIC (lots of chemistry) and a HEA (that I wished had an epilogue).

A beautiful, funny and deeply romantic love story.

Ellie is delightful, funny, brave, loyal and self-deprecating but she's in a bit of a rut when Luke re-enters her life; he's rich and handsome but has done Bad Deeds and needs to redeem himself and prove himself worthy of her. I really enjoyed this story and I hope Ms Costa writes more, and soon!
(What's going on with the cover art though, who could have thought that was a good idea?)

Another example of how a badly given title can give the wrong perception of a book. I thought this would be a YA novel, all about young romance but the young college romance is just a fraction tiny part of the plot. Even though I really liked the plot, the disability aspect of the main character came into the story halfway through and this allowed the writer to develop the characters and their feelings for each other. Elle comes across a little bit immature at times and it's just a little bit unbelievable that Luke is young twenty something uber trillionaire (think I am getting sick of these plots) but i liked how their romance developed regardless of disability.

This book made me laugh and cry at the same time! I love the characters and how the author handles aging them from Freshman to sixteen years later. I really love how the author handles the hero's disability and all the other characters' reactions to it. The author does a brilliant job offering up warts and all and making them beautiful. My only problem was the change in tense...for some unknown reason the author starts the story and tells the past in past tense and the moves to present tense for the sixteen years later. If you love realistic second chance first love stories...get yourself some tissues, download the book and have a read!!!

Do you know what, I really enjoyed this. I got it as a light read and I'm pretty sure I got it when it was free, however I loved it. I read it in one day and immediately bought her other book.

I took a chance on this book mainly because it was a freebie, i was worried from looking at the front cover that it was going to be a book mainly for teenagers but it wasn't, I was pleasantly surprised. The book does start off with them in their Uni days but most of the book is about them as adults and it was nice to see the difference between their younger and older self's. It was an interesting story with likable characters. I did debate whether to give it 3 stars or 4 but i decided only 3 stars because even though the book is nice, nothing really happens in the book and i feel the ending wasn't great.

This story could have been so good. Loved the plot but was so poorly executed.Lead female started off quite funny, humble & intelligent but quarter way through all qualities were lost. Lead male character also started off very strong & witty but turned insecure and vulnerable, which didn't suit him at all. Also the ending was just awful. Rushed and no real conclusion.

And also agree with previous reviews with it being totally unrealistic that someone with such a disability could live independantly.

I downloaded this book to add to a collection of holiday reads, but once I started I couldn't put it down - it's a good job it wasn't too hot on the day that we spent at the beach otherwise I would have been burnt to a crisp! I enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end, but would like to hear more about Ellie and Luke and the what challenges lie ahead for them in the years to come and how they overcome the hurdles that of which I assume there will be many.
