Review
'If you're into package holidays to party resorts, you'll raise more than a few chuckles at this book ... a good beach novel - you won't need to think too much, so its ideal for the morning after the night before.' GLASGOW EVENINGTIMES 2 August

Product Description
Ibiza's glorious summer season is beginning, but holiday company Young, Free & Single - made famous by Colin Butts' first novel, IS HARRY ON THE BOAT? - is under threat. Sleazy Tyrone Lucas, disgraced former rep with YF&S, runs their rival, Club Wicked, and would dearly love to bring them down. When dance music megaclub The Monastery decides to expand into travel by acquiring one or other company - spelling disaster for the loser - the battle lines are drawn. YF&S need the experience of veteran rep Greg, but his only interests are the opening party at Space, popping pills and winning the infamous Golden Dick. Unless Greg straightens out, the future of YF&S could be down to how the new reps perform, but with Sloaney Arabella besotted with a Club Wicked rep, Vaz desperate to become a DJ and Hughie infatuated with any girl over a size 18, the initial signs are not good, especially when Club Wicked reveal their new resort manager, an old adversary who gives will do anything to get ahead ...

Absolutely brilliant read, really believable and well written, I have read it a few times now and can't put it down.

The film was good too, brought back great memories of Ibiza!

3.0 out of 5 stars A worthy follow up or a blatant cash-in?, 27 Jan 2003
By Mr. A. Graham "andybsg1" (Essex, UK) - See all my reviews

I think the above title is a good summary for this book. I thought "Is Harry On The Boat" was very funny and refreshing and while this follow up does still give a few laughs I can't help feeling it could have been better. All of the main characters from the first book are here but you can't help but feel that they've been shoe horned in a bit too forcefully, especially seeing as a couple of the new characters just seem to be carbon copies of those who didn't make the sequel. Fans of the original will enjoy it and I did myself, however, I can't help feeling just a little disappointed that the author didn't try to be a little more innovative.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the original but still spot on
The original book, 'Is Harry on the Boat' was original, fresh and funny and (so i thought - unrealistic). Read more
