It should be made clear from the outset that this is a pamphlet, not a book, and it is by an English Christian apologist. That said, much of what he has to say is interesting if you are curious about the phenomenon of people with a particular belief set rejecting a piece of art (graphic, literary, etc.) because they can't find a way to incorporate it into their belief sustem. It is unfortunate that this sort of thing happens, because it prevents many people, who would otherwise be well-meaning, to spend time (one could say, 'waste time') responding to what could only be understood as criticism from people who haven't bothered to think about the material in any depth. It reminds me of Gus Hall's famous quote,"My mind is made up, don't confuse me with the facts." That said, if you should feel so inclined and want to read this script, see if your local library has a copy of it. Borrow it and read it. Then, if you must have a copy, rush right on-line and order your personal copy from Amazon.com.
