After years of considering buying this I finally bought it. I wanted it as a prop for my Lucius Malfoy costume.

It looked fantastic and certainly a great match to the original prop but there were a couple of things that I found I had to do before I could use it. The wand part didn't fit into the cane part and had to be sanded down to get it to fit. There was minor paint chipped of near the cane top.

The paint on the cane itself was easily scrapped off during use at a convention which I wasn't happy with considering the price. It needs a much better coating to stop this form happening. Something which I can do but shouldn't have to do.

Overall, I was happy with the product bar the minor niggles. The wand piece itself is beautiful and makes for a fantastic display piece.

I don't recommend for children as it is quite heavy and has sharp teeth on the wand part. I would recommend the store I bought it from to friends as the service was excellent and the delivery quick fast.

Fabulous quality and looks much more expensive than it actually was. The detail on the snake's head is wonderful. Very impressed.

The Lucius Malfoy Walking Stick the Genuine Article 16 Sept. 2008
By Adele Goodsell - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Fun:
I ordered the Lucius Malfoy Walking Stick a couple weeks ago. It arrived in the mail within the week and I was very pleased when I opened the package. It really is the Genuine article. The Noble Collection did a surpurb job crafting the head of the snake which is durable beautiful silver metal. The eyes are set with small round emerald jewels and the fangs are surprisingly sharp. The wand inside is removed by pulling the head piece away from the cane piece, no twisting or unscrewing is necessary. The wand and cane are both made from highly polished smooth wood that feels more like ivory. The walking stick I was surprised to find feels heavy, attesting further to the fact that it is not made with cheep materials.
This is the most money I have ever spent on a single product and I was worried that I might have buyers remorse, but after opening the box and and holding the cane for the first time, examining the beautiful craftmanship, I was no where near dissapointed. If you purchase this product I garentee you will be pleased too.
Oh, just an additional note, this is not a child's toy, if small children should wish to play with this I reccomend only with adult supervision.

This is perfect 14 April 2014

The cane is plastic, it is just modelled to look like wood. It is heavy duty, and the snake head looks just like the movie.

Display Only.. Not Functional... 15 April 2009
By Anthony Tetzloff - Published on Amazon.com
I was disapointed in the quality of this product. The shaft of the walking stick is made from a cheap plastic. For the price, they should have gone the extra mile and made it out of a nice hard wood.

The silver plated snakes head is nice. It is very heavy, and the green crystal eyes look great. If it were not for the cheap plastic shaft, this would have been an A+ item, unfortunatly the most I can give it is a C.

So, if you are wanting to use this as a functional walking stick, don't waste your money. But if all you want is a nice looking display item, it is well worth buying as it dose look nice.

Not for kids afordable "prop style" collectible 14 Jan. 2012

These wands appear to be the same ones available at Universal Florida's The World of Harry Potter's Olivander's Want shop. Though a nice plug, I include that because I know people will be looking for the ones they have seen there.

This item is tough for me to rate. It is the most impressive "wand" of the collection. They top piece is metal and very heavy. The detail work on the snake head and neck is very good. It is certainly everything you would want expect maybe some high quality gems for the eyes.

The "wand" section fits in the cane with a metal guide whole and two rubber washes lodge it in place. It held well, though I think over time you would need to replace the seals to keep the grip strong enough for use.

Not for kids. It is almost 4 feet tall. The end piece is very solid and heavy. It could inflict lots of damage. Also, the snake teeth are VERY SHARP, and can draw blood.

The support cane itself is somewhat flimsy. I do not thing I would rely on it as a "walking cane", i.e., weight bearing. I think you could replace the lower sections with a more solid wood and still get a core drilled and use it to hold the original wand top.

This is a walking stick - so it is large size. If you are not tall - like over 5-8 you will probably find it far to large. You should be able to cut down the cane section or replace it, but be wary.

I do not blame the supplier, but the cane looked as if it was already used. The black paint/stain at the top of the cane was chipped, leaving white/light color showing. The top of the cane base is not close to evenly circular, so the "head" piece hangs over at points. There were other runs in the color and such that would require touch up. The packaging was good, so this is either a manufacturing problem or it was used as a display and resold.

Even with the problems, for the price I think it is worth it.

My grandson loves it 8 Jan. 2014
By MC Shields - Published on Amazon.com

I purchased this for my eight year old grandson. He loves it though I think it is rather very long and heavy on the top. It is made of plastic and the head is made of some kind of heavy metal nickel plated material. The top of the staff/wand has a serpent's head with fangs that are pointed and sharp. Not good for a toy.

For the price I think is a bit pricey.
