Manufacturer's Description

In “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defences’ and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates! And then there’s Hermione, simmering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

Save Your Money 16 July 2009

Fun:
Like everyone else here, I was so buzzed about this games release. Within 2 hours of starting the game, i'd completed it. No joke. The graphics are no where near as good as the OOTP game, but it still has some of the cast providing the voices for there characters. But who ever is doing the voice of Bellatrix Lestrange sounds nothing like Helena Bonham Carter! To be honest the only fun thing about this game is the mini which involves mixing potions but then that gets boring quick. Save your money and get something else x

I could'nt wait for this new game to be released!!!! What a waste of money, I was so disapointed. It took me no time at all to complete. There's no more collecting stuff or exploring the castle when you wish. I am a massive Harry Potter fan but this is utter rubbish. The game has no heart. You just wander through stirring potions & duelling. You have'nt got the freedom like the other HP games. Lets just hope the next game is much better than this one !!!! Lets face it, it can't be much worse.

Disappointing 10 July 2009

I eagerly awaited the arrival of this game but was greatly disappointed with it after completing it in only a few hours. The only "challenges" in it were duelling, making potions and playing Quidditch - all of which were completed quite easily and got a bit tedious after a while. I still haven't gone back to finish collecting all the shields but I don't think I will actually bother! The previous Harry Potter game "Order of the Phoenix" was absolutely brilliant and a very hard act to follow. I think the designers of this game have missed out on a lot of the elements of the book (and the previous game)which could have been incorporated and expanded upon. Is this just another case of bringing out a poorly developed game quickly to coincide with the release of the film?

Harry Potter does it again
Enjoyed playing HP and the Half Blood Prince. Pretty good game controls, but at times a bit ungainly. Great graphics, if a bit dark, and excellent avatar reproductions of faces. Read more

This game is not as much fun as Order of the Phoenix. You don't get to learn and perform as many charms, spells and challenges. The end of the actual story comes way to quickly.
