The cassette in itself is excellent, but one warning on this item: the collection with the ISBN number listed above IS NOT the complete Goblet of Fire, but only the first part. This is not explained by Amazon. Therefore, be prepared to buy Part II as well as this version to finish the story!

Harry Potter is one of the world's greatest literary creations. The Goblet of Fire is the fourth in the series of seven, and is also the longest and best of the stories. The reason Harry Potter is so popular is probably because of the depth and richness of the text, with many strands of story cleverly weaving together to form a type of fantasy mystery. Rowling would be a very good author of detective stories, I feel.
Goblet of Fire is also the most adult of the books, although it is still enjoyable for children of the age it was intended for (over 8)
Why bother listening to the cassette? Well, Stephen Fry reads it very well and the voices add another dimension. It is excellent for long family car journeys, as it lasts forever and will hopefully suit everyone. The fact it comes in 2 parts is a bit annoying, and it might be better just to buy the combined version. On the other hand, it can do for both Christmas and Birthday presents in it's two part form. For kids or adults. Although, at the end of the day, unless you're a great collector of Potter memorabilia, if you've read the book, there isn't a great deal of point shelling out for the tape as well.
