Yes and No 11 Jun 2003
I have mixed feelings about this game. I enjoy playing it but at the end you feel as if you have done it all for nothing. The bonus games that you find only gives you a card to which you have to collect 24 of. Which is fine, you have to have these cards to duel house champions. If you beat all three (Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin) and collect all 24 cards, you can then get into 'the room' where no student has ever got to before. What you find in this room is completely disappointing and you spend the whole game working to get into it. It is Fred and George that were excited about this room, but once you get into it or have all of the cards they don't react at all. Some things just turn out pointless, such as 'Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans', you only really have to collect 250 of these, after that they do not even do anything and they're about 1000? What is the point? You do not get anything for winning the house cup either so don't worry about collecting the house points.

I don't know about it being easy. I mean, the things that are inevitable in the game, I mean going through the story, that is all very easy. You do get told where to go. However, you have to find bonus rooms like I mentioned earlier and other secrets which are not so easy to find. Some things are actually very well hidden. And in order to power up your spells... you have to find the right room at the right time. Quidditch is a lot of fun, it actually is kind of challenging. Quidditch practice is easy, but the Quidditch league I can't quite seem to get the gold cup for!

The graphics are really quite bad, it has to be said. The soundtrack I actually found very pleasant at times, especially when walking around Hogwarts. Ron is extremely out of character - oh dear. There are things in the game they are not in the movie, so you get to see the Weasley's house ghoul, you can degnome Ron's garden and Hagrids Pumpkin Patch, you get to go to Nearly Headless Nick's Deathday Party and you have to run away from Lockhart's Valentine Cupids.

After all, it is a fun game to play, it is really short, 6 hours standard I think. Give it a try, it's not that bad. 3 out of 5.
