If like me you think your weekly dose of TV Burp is just too short, this book is the perfect remedy. Mr Harry brings you all your old favourites (knitted character, Chippy chips, Bear Grylls) from the show and adds some great new stuff. Every time i have gone through it (and i do find myself returning to it quite frequently), i found something else to tickle my fancy. I particularly like the end credits, the celebrities favourite nights in and Prince Charles correspondance. And the comic strips are hilarious, particularly Ant and Dec and the Coronation Street photo story. I never thought I would say this but its even better than The Goodies annuals.

Hilarious. There is nothing else to say.
Just looking at the front cover made me laugh.
All the comedy of the TV show in an entertaining book that you can go back to time again and still find funny.

The book is a bit shorter than expected, but absolutely packed full so still plenty of reading time (and plenty of laughs).
On the subject of laughs, the humour in the book is most of the time closer to the adult end of the humour on the TV show itself, presumably because children will not be bothered to read all of the book.
Anyway, if you're a (teenage/adult) fan of the show and enjoy humour books, then there couldn't be anything better!

In many ways this is your typical TV-tie-in annual. Coming out in time for Christmas 2009 this book presents a glossy bunch of various articles taking the mic out of TV shows and TV stars, in much the same way as the TV Burp TV show does. However all the content here is entirely separate from that that appeared in the TV show so you don't have to worry about having come across it before.

Highlights include a Coronation Street photo story entitled "Ken's Violent Rampage", Sir Trevor McDonald's stand-up comedy page showcasing his jokes, including multiple jokes about Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, and Harry Hill's pick-o'-the-bill, where Harry Hill details his favourite moments from that hit ITV show, The Bill.

There are also bits in the book that are more related to the TV show, such as the exclusive photos of the Knitted Character's baby, plus the outcomes of some of those fights that occur and continue through the ad-breaks.

As with anything celeb-based it will be of its time and the celebs featured will disappear from memory the further past 2009/2010 we get. Also this being a collection of articles will be hit and miss but if you enjoyed the TV show then the book should be right up your street.

If you love Harry Hill's tv burp then you'll love this aswell, from the very first page i was laughing out load with Harry's sly remarks and comments, and jokes (Chippy chips!). However obviously i would not recommend for children (under 11's) who do not read, as there are many sly comments admist pages of writing, which children probably wont even find funny.

However it is the perfect present for a harry hill fan who is a teenager or adult.

I absoloutly love TV burp, and this book is a perfect collection of the TV series. Like other reviewers said, perhaps kids under 11 wouldn't find it funny as there are a few "adult humour" parts to it, but overall, a fantastic read. Harry has a dig at people from the likes of Prince Charles to Ant and Dec and coronation street. Particularly liked the "Bear Grylls: How to survive in a 5 star hotel" page and the illustration of the national television awards after party. If you like Tv Burp, you've gotta give this a try - there's only one way to find out...

My 12 year old daughter likes it.
Personally not sure the TV series translates to a book, but she likes it. Some of the content a bit risque for kids though.

Bought Harry Hill's TV Burp book for my son for Christmas. Got the chance to read it sometime in January when he finally put it down for five minutes and stopped laughing. Very funny observations from Harry about the strange world that is TV today. Think some of the humour would thankfully pass by younger readers (good job too, some of it was a bit naughty!!), but I think anyone who likes Harry and his antics would find it very funny.
