Product Description

Product Description

Self-styled supervarmint Harry Hill is back with another live video - what were the chances of that happening, eh? Harry offers his bizarre observations on life, ably assisted by his backing band, the Caterers, his chief scientist, Finsbury Park, failed chicken-catcher Burt Kwouk, Stouffer the Cat and, of course, the badgers.

5.0 out of 5 stars The First and Best 9 April 2001
By S. Day VINE™ VOICE
Format:VHS Tape
Harry Hill shot to fame in his first radio series, and through the showing on BBC2 of the short films, Harry Hill's Fruit Fancies. The former came out on CD, the latter VHS, but was expendable. This video, released simultaneously with Fruit Fancies, is a live stand-up show in London, and it is a masterpiece. None of Hill's devices are tired or predictable here--there is no badger parade or The Caterers--and one is given a magnificent, non-stop show, which by unlimitedly cross-referencing itself grabs you and pulls you into its world. Hill's performance is perfectly energetic and every gag is either spot-on or becomes spot-on later. This is one of the most inventive, intricate and dynamic stand-up shows ever.

5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest and funniest performance ever 4 Nov 2001
Format:VHS Tape
This is the most inventive and fascinating comedy performance I have ever seen. The material and delivery is ground-breaking, and gives you a way of viewing life that will keep you smiling forever. Harry will constantly amaze you with his view of the world, and you won't be able to deny that he has a point, no matter how bizarrre his ideas may seem initially. This video is a masterpiece, and you will watch it repeatedly, never failing to be in hysterics and absolute admiration at the brilliance of the performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Harry Hill is a comic genius 25 Aug 2000
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
I put this video on on a rainy thursday night and laughed so loud I got some very strange looks from the neighbours the next day. Harry Hill's own brand of comedy is 100% unique, deeply self satirizing and thoroughly clean: the dirtiest word mentioned is 'bra', and that only once. Be prepared not to laugh for the first ten minutes, as you must enter the mindset of Harry, but you will not regret buying this video, which is the epitome of intelligent stand up comedy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff, but NOT TV Burp!
Although I'd say 'Hooves' was his best touring show, this is still fantastic! I think the negative reviews here came from people expecting TV Burp humor. Read more
