I was thrilled when I saw that a collection of Harry stories had been published. My son loves Harry and the dinosaurs and we had borrowed Harry and the robots from the library so to find five in one book was a real bonus. The pictures are bright the dinosaurs are charming, the stories are simple and easy to follow. My son always selects this one to read by himself and laughs out loud especially when the dinosaurs are hiding. We have bought this now for lots of birthday parties and it is always very much appreciated. Great for 2-5's.

This story is easily read to young children and the story can be easily followed in the pictures. The children's imagination is stimulated with the bright coloured pictures and Harry is a hero with his dinosaurs. My grandaughter now plays out the story of Harry and has started her own collection of dinosaurs. Even at the age of three she is attempting to read the words on the pages and in holding her attention that, I think, makes a very good read. I would strongly recommend this book to all parents, grandparents, and children from 2 years onwards, as a good read and an interesting story.

After my 2 year old discovered Harry and his bucket full of dinosaurs on playhouse Disney. He was Dinosaur mad, with the exception to the carnivores that looked scary and had angry faces. So when I saw this for sale on Amazon I was really excited. With all the reviews that had glowing praise for them, I decided to get them for him for his ever increasing collection of dinosaurs and books.
Well they came and I was disappointed. The dinosaurs are something you can get from a cheap store for no more than £2 and a bucket for £1. My little lad loves them but it wasn't what I wanted for him. If you are looking for something that resembles Harry's dinosaurs don't get these, they are not based on the characters, they are just a random models in a bucket.
The book it self is fine but in reality you've paid twice the amount the book is worth.
Hope this helps

My 2 year old daughter loves this book. She has already started telling us the names of the different dinosaurs and loves hearing the story. On the inside cover are drawings of the different types of dinosaurs with the phonetic pronunciations which is very helpful!
A fun story that has my daughter carring "dinosaurs" in a little bucket as well.
She also loves Harry & the Snow King which she got for Christmas when it was snowy outside.

We purchased the Harry and the bucket full of dinosaurs gift box as a gift from Father Christmas. We were so disappointed when it arrived. I had expected that the dinosaurs in the bucket would be the same type of dinosaurs as Harry's dinosaurs. They are not, they are just a random collection of dinosaurs. I would have done better (and it would have been considerably cheaper) to go to the a toy shop and get the right dinosaurs and put together my own Harry collection. Very disappointed and so was the child that received the present, after spending time trying to work out which dinosaur was which character they have never been played with again and he's stopped reading the books.

The book looks wonderful and there is a nice story but what really makes this a wonderful gift is the bucketful of dinosaurs that comes with it. It is the same bucket and dinosaurs that are in the book. I am really looking forward to seeing my cousins face when I give him this present.

Harry and his bucketful of dinosaurs are quite simply heaps of fun and the adventures are relished by my four year old. The illustrations are excellent and packed full of fun details. Sister Sam always winds Harry up at some point and gets something thrown at her or over her, which always makes us laugh - it is such a realistic and familiar scenario!

There are also some very moving and helpful subjects covered in among the fun, such as Nan being taken to hospital in the middle of the night when she is very poorly.

The five stories in this book make it a fantastic bargain and it has very quickly become a firm favourite for our wee lad. These are fun stories to read out loud and they are so very enjoyable for the parent as well as the child. Always a plus in my book! I recommend it to your enjoyment.

This is a great story with lovely crisp clear pictures. Harry finds dinosaurs in Nan's attic and lovingly rehouses them in a bucket. He learns all their names and they become inseparable. He's very upset therefore to leave them on a train but is happily reunited at the end-osaurus. This is the beginning of the successful series of Harry and the dinosaur adventures, and my children and I love them all. I do think that the 'Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs' series is a slightly acquired taste, a taste that's very definitely worth acquiring. I wasn't hooked the first time I picked one up because there is a little low-level misbehaviour such as the brother-sister squabbling. However, the more you read the book the more you enjoy it exactly because of this: Harry is so real in a pretty normal family (Mum & Nan - there's no Dad in evidence). My children certainly appreciate this. They love it when Harry's breakfast bowl ends up on sister Sam's head in this story, for example, before he is sent to 'settle down'. Plus, from this book they're learning the different dinosaur species and how to pronounce their names. A must-have book for the 2-5s.
