I was looking forward to receiving this CD as I love Harp music. However, when it arrived, I played it in the car and, although it was very nice, relaxing music, the harp did not appear to be the main instrument in many of the tunes. I think I expected the harp to be the ONLY instrument, but this was definately not the case.

Apart from that, it is a lovely CD and certainly enjoyable background music.

I discovered this cd on Amazon by chance and what a joyous discovery. Not for nothing is the harp called the instrument of angels. Apart from works by the great composers featured in this compilation like J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Handel, Dittersdorf, Brahms, etc; my greatest joy came in discovering some beautiful works by composers I have never heard of e.g. - Renié-Contemplation, Henson-Conanat - The nightingale, Damase - Sicilienne variée etc. This is a great collection of relaxing classics at a very good price. You cannot go wrong with this 2 cd set.

This was the very first Adagio CD I bought. Amongst the many fine tracks Il Padrino will always remain my favourite. Because I liked this so much, I went on to buy more in the series. Perhaps it is my Welsh genes, but for me the harp is one of the most beautiful instruments. This remains my favourite CD.
