to be honest, i've always preferred harold lloyd's features as they demonstrate his talents as comedian and film-maker more fully.
even so, the collection of short films in this set are very good. clocking in at just over 3 and a half hours and spread over 10 shorts, i would nominate "high and dizzy," "from hand to mouth," "now or never" and among those present" as being the most memorable. in addition, these films are amongst the first where harold lloyd made a career-changing decision whereby he invented his most famous character, that of the honest, everyday american boy with those iconic glasses. it added more in the way of maturity and distinction to his comedies henceforth.
the picture quality is quite good, considering the age of the footage.
