this mini series _HAREM_ is quite amusing
it has bits and pieces from 2 other films under the same title "Harem" starring Nastasia Kinski & Ben Kingsley
not released on DVD till now?????
and the Turkish French Italian production "HAREM" which is quite close in the storyline.
the greatest thing about this "HAREM"is AVA GARDENER as the Sultan's wife,though the short part she plays,she gives an unforgettable great performance,how can you forget her first appearing scene???how can you forget the way she smiles in her last scene???
as for OMAR SHARIEF ,he was V.good
SARAH MILES is in her best ever!!
the cinematography was great...the locations & costumes well studied .
as for the music 2 thumbs up
the worst thing in this movie is the bad miscast of the young English heroin and the hero, the young Turk,.bad,bad,bad.

A very nice film but the DVD is not great in colour and performanceS. in my opinion, it should be remasterated.
