Product Description

The Eighties are back. The start of a new series as over-the-top as the best Eighties action movies ever were.

Kyra Sarin has survived five years of the hardest fighting mankind has ever seen. On her way back to Earth, to finally see her children again, the space station she stops at is taken over by terrorists. It’s the last mistake they’re ever going to make.

WARNING: This title has more violence and swearing than a dock-workers’ annual shin kicking party. If you are easily offended, or even pretty difficult to offend, you probably shouldn’t read this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Die Hard in space 26 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Nothing wrong with having a ultra-violent novella set in a space station! Just like Die Hard, the action is constant, just as Kyra thinks she's safe, more baddies appear (and get smeared :))

Looking forward to the sequel.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good start 13 Jun 2014

Loved this and thought the main protagonist was very well presented. It needs to be the start of something bigger though as this is quite short.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simon Cantan does it again. 15 Jan 2014
By Tony
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Simon Cantan says he wanted this story to be in the style of the Eighties Movies, well I have to say he has succeeded wonderfully. Its a fast moving story with lots of action and a wise cracking hero, who is female for a change, step aside Arni here comes Kyra. So if you love the Eighties Action Movies, love Action Movies in general or just love a good read, this is the story for you. The only trouble is you get to the end and want More. So come on Simon lets have book two, Soon.

Good read but the description is perhaps a little more hyped than the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Happy sci fi... 8 July 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
One of the other reviews calls this "Die Hard in Space". That's exactly what I was thinking when reading the story.
But instead of Bruce Willis running around a hotel (wearing a vest) bumping off lots of terrorists , here you have a female space soldier running around (and sometimes floating around) a space station (wearing a power-up-suit) also bumping off lots of terrorists.
Usually a bumping off is followed by a witty (James Bond style) one liner, such as - after blinding a terrorist with lemon juice (before bumping him off) she remarks "Don't be bitter".
Enjoyed the story. A bit of happy sci fi which doesn't take itself at all seriously.
