A very good compilation of late 50's early 60's tracks from `Challenge' records, founded in Hollywood in 1957 by the Country music legend Gene Autry. The sound quality is very good overall, a couple of tracks suffer with a little distortion but nothing to major. Roughly 2 hours of music across 50 tracks many of the best tracks written by Dave Burgess or by Jerry Fuller both great artist in their own write. Disc 1 - is a little disappointing though with only two or three great tracks - my favourite is `Desire' by the Trophies. However, disc 2 more than makes up for the first disc - there are so many great tracks here - like the fantastic `I laughed so hard I cried' by the Trophies, 'Little miss tease' by Jerry Wallace, of course your taste may differ from mine. As usual with these `One Day Music' compilations there's no booklet but there's a one sided introduction to the labels history. Overall, some good Doo Wop, Pop, Instrumentals and Rockin' sounds. Good stuff overall.
