Although he has never been given the credit he deserves, George Thorogood keeps turning out blistering, paint-stripping, slide-guitar soaked rock'n'roll, with no compromise offered to prevaling trends or current fashions. This album contains the usual mixture of incendary self-penned rockers and top-quality cover versions. It's great to hear him deliver the old Hound Dog Taylor classic "Give Me Back My Wig" with such energy, and his take on Jimmy Reed's slow, brooding "Little Rain" is probably the stand-out track on the album. Nowhere is there any sign of phoned-in performances or perfunctory 'going-through-the motions' playing. Instead everything is full-on and in-your-face. Long may it continue!

Stick this in your CD player and be transported to a smoky club somewhere on the south side of Chicago listening to the best bar-band in the world...

my only regret is that my review of the 30 years album gave five stars and now I have this album it needs to have 5.5 stars in comparison. I love the songs and they rock as well as any of the early songs. I would love to see George on stage but i guess he will not be visiting the UK anytime soon.

Its a great lifting Cd that does not out stay its welcome. I actually prefer this to a some of his older tracks and the production is not as dry.The cd has more of the same as you would expect from GT. Rock, Blues, slide guitar yet at the same time made more eclectic with addition of a Dylan track, Drifters Escape, sung really well.If you enjoy honest to goodness rock etc. without media hype and and all the rest (this is not X factor stuff)then this is for you!

Had this CD for over a year now after seeing G.T in Manchester, in 2013,at the Apollo. And what a great artist. Old fashioned Rock & Roll. Rock a Boogie whatever.Difficult music to put into a Genre, but easy to listen to. And a lot of his albums are copies of other folk's music i.e. John Lee Hooker.Bo Diddley etc. etc. But so what. Get this album today. Not tomorrow I mean right now. Oh oh oh oh!

If you like slide guitar, great and at times amusing lyrics, George is your man. His music is his "job" and although the basis of his albums are pretty much the same, they are always excellent.

This is another of George's brilliant musicianship, with heavy driving licks that make you want to jump in ya motor and just drive until the cd ends. Then, do it all over again. Brill
