Another excellent installment in the Charlie Fox series,

Charlie Fox, ex-Special Forces trainee, agrees to go to Germany to a bodyguard training school to find out how someone died... and as a favour to her ex-lover Sean Meyer. Once there life, as always, gets very complicated - with kidnapping, arms-selling and more than one person not quite who they say they are.
I have rapidly become very addicted to this series: Sharp writes tough thrillers but with an emotional edge in the troubled and intense relationship between Charlie and her ex-instructor the rather wonderful Sean Meyer. Because the books are quite difficult to get hold of I have read them out of order but if you can read them in the proper order I would recommend it as the emotional arc is very important. These books deserve to be far better known than they are - another excellent read.

The third installment of the Charlie Fox thrillers is a corker. After the events in Riot Act that led Charlie to meet up with ex flame and ex superior officer Sean, Charlie is contemplating a move into close protection (bodyguarding). Charlie does a favour for the lovely but troubled Sean in going under cover at a highly suspect bodyguard training centre in Germany. Charlie's mission is to find out who killed a man who she had excellent reason to despise.Like all the Zoe Sharp books, including First Drop, which comes next, this is an action packed thrill ride that you will want to devour quickly. The story is tensly plotted, the set pieces, including a great car chase are fab and the training centre literally sweats with malevolence. the sense of peril is palpable but still retains that realistic edge that we have come to expect from Ms Sharp. In fact, i have only one criticism of Ms Sharp- she doesn't write fast enough!! You'll want more as this draws to a close.

Never do your ex a favour,

In this dark thriller set in a German bodyguard training school, Charlie tries to find the killer of a man she has reason to hate,as a favour to her ex, not a wise move.I'm becoming addicted to Charlie Fox but I'm not sure I'd like to meet her.
