3 mixed cds that cover a good range of hard dance - which means you'll almost certainly find something you like.
They all sound great, with knife-sharp top notes and clear but full bass and drums with plenty of weight behind them, and to my ears they're very well mixed.
Mark EG does 'Hard', and while I guess it's techno (not a style I'm familiar with), it's rhythmically interesting and tuneful. Force is 'Furious', which is a bit of a misnomer - it's pretty tame, repetitive Scott Browny bouncy hardcore with lots of tunes you'll swear you've heard before even if you haven't, too stop-start and too much of the girly vocals and inane lyrics. It's probably not as dire as I make it sound, but I was fairly disappointed. 'Fast', mixed by Anne Savage, is my pick of the bunch: hard house mainly I guess, and just one enormous tune after another, starting with 'Here Come the Drums', reaching a peak of goodness with 'Red Admiral' - 'Spherical' (you can't really miss with a bit of oldskool piano) - 'Music is the Drug', and thundering on to its conclusion.
With this sort of collection not everything is going to appeal to everyone, and two out of three is above par, especially when one is excellent.
