HASH(0x9108218c) out of 5 stars It fits new iPad. Not happy with screen protector. 12 Jun. 2012

This is my second attempt with this company. I cannot seem to find the perfect case for the new iPad. Exact quote from their website states "Locking screen shield that doesn't take away from enhanced resolution of the new iPad 3". Screen shield turns your retina display into a grainy mess. I used a utility knife to cut the screen out. I am now satisfied but the only reason I really bought this case was because I finally thought I found a company that could make a screen protector that didn't mess up the whole retina experience. You really shouldn't have to buy a product and then modify it to make it work as advertised. I may actually buy another one for the iPad 2 unless I find something better but I honestly can't seem to find anything better. 3 stars is all you get out of me because of the false advertising. Other then that I'm happy with the fit and function of every thing else. I especially like the polycarbonate backing with the golf ball dimples. This makes holding the new iPad significantly easier. Hope this helps. I'm just trying to be as honest as possible.

HASH(0x916a5564) out of 5 stars good protection, screen protector is ugly 10 July 2012

The Good:
- hard case, bubbles help you hold the case more securely
- doesn't add bulk to ipad
- front screen protection offers some resistance to spills, etc. (a must if you have kids playing with the ipad). This is not meant to be waterproofing.

The Bad:
- front screen protection is not hard, but thin plastic film. May prevent minor injuries.
- front screen alters the appearance of the screen, takes some of the beauty away from the retina display. It is plastic, not glass. Ivyskin makes iphone cases with a glass shield that is practically invisible.
- back plastic cover is prone to scratches.
- no way to stand/prop the ipad in this case.

If you need more than just protection of the edges/back of the ipad without adding a lot of bulk, this is a good choice, especially if kids use the ipad. A replaceable glass front screen shield would be much better. absence of stand makes it less functional in some situations.

still haven't found a great ipad cover with all the following attributes - minimal bulk, front screen protection that doesn't interfere with the display quality, stand options.

HASH(0x8f6ab798) out of 5 stars Almost Perfect 8 Nov. 2012

All in all, I would give this a very good review...only negative is the edge of the frame which is rough in three places. This seems to be from the manufacturing process and, while not significant, it is annoying and I hope will not get worse. The large pebbled back is awesome as it make the ipad so easy to hold, non slippery and very comfortable....just need to address the minor problems with the front edge.

HASH(0x90738da4) out of 5 stars Nice unit 5 July 2012

I really love this protector. It is very thin so it does not add a bunch of girth to my iPad. It is very clean and attractive. It does have a few downfalls and I find them to b extremely minimal. The overall finish is excellent with the exception of the outside trim piece. When molded it was not cleanly trimmed to eliminate any sharp edges. I feel that the sleeve and maybe the iPad might not live through a major drop. It does offer some excellent protection and it looks amazing. The only other issue I can find is the I have read and I expected there to b a lense protector over the camera lense. However there is not. Was a little disappointed about that. All in all and especially 4 the price, I believe this is one of the better iPad options out there! I love mine!

HASH(0x907382ac) out of 5 stars Exceeded My Expectations 22 Jun. 2012

I have been using this case for four days and so far, I am very pleased with it. It is light weight and easy to assemble. The case fits perfectly around my iPad 3; snug and with all ports in the right place. The screen protector fits right up against the iPad screen and I feel no gap between the two when pressing down and no loss in the touch sensory. I did notice a slight distortion in the retina display but definitely not enough to be a deal breaker. The charger port cover is not stiff (as with the Gumdrop) and I like the fact that it opens from back to front. This is a good looking case and also feels good in my hands. There are no port covers for the camera and mic. I have tried two other cases and I like this one the best.
