Harry Bush was one of the twentieth century greats of gay erotic art, much of it published in the early days of men's gay magazines. His skill as an artist is unrivalled and, although his art is deliciously explicit, it is also subtly suggestive, an irresistible combination. Some of Bush's subjects are just there to drive you wild; others are in situations where they are teasing and tantalising, outrageously and funnily. There is a deliberately contrived innocence about some of the situations which adds to the appeal. Bush also invented a tongue-in-cheek line in pre-thong men's underwear in some of his drawings. The point is to tease the viewer in every way. The drawings are both comic and highly erotic. Great book.
