Great debut album of a great upcoming star!, 13 May 2002
By A Customer
The song Happy is a good indication of the debut album Happy by Sita. It was released in the netherlands on january 8th, so i have it already before it is released in the UK. It has 12 great songs on it. She has a really clear, sweet voice and all the songs on her CD are great. They indeed make you quite happy! Happy is a good poprock song, nice transition from verses to chorus. Jerk is a good song when someone makes you feel bad. It's a little rock-ish too. Selfish is a slow song, beautifully sung. Hello is a very happy song again, very easy to listen to, but not the best lyrics. A little simple. I surrender sounds a little like a Madonna song like frozen. It's a little mysterious, but basicly a love song. Her voice is really beautiful in it, very comforting. The world goes round sounds a little like a country song. You make me feel( like myself) is a poprock song. Twisted is a slow song with a very nice outro. Backseat is a more uptempo song, great popsong.Strong winds is a slow song, it also has a little mysterious sound to it. Everything is a lovesong, it sounds very sweet. Whenever is a poprock song with a nice tranistion into the chorus. It basicly says it'll cheer you up when you are down, and it does. Overall all the songs on the CD are great quality and potential hit singles. It's easy to listen to. I'd certainly recommend it to everyone. Especially if you like the single Happy!

Power Pop is not dead, 27 Dec 2002
With artistes like Sita, Michelle Branch and Avril Lavigne, the future for power pop is suddenly much brighter again. This is one of those rare albums, packed full of catchy tracks, that I can quite happily listen to all the way through without skipping any tracks. My favourites at the moment though are "Hello" and "Happy". My only worry is that the UK charts and radio playlists have a definite bias, first of all against this type of music, and secondly, against any artiste who is not from the UK, North America and maybe Australia (- when are Killing Heidi going to try to break into the UK market?) So sadly, despite being a real breath of fresh air, I cannot see this record by this talented Dutch singer having much commercial success in the UK. I'd love to be proved wrong though.

sita - Happy, A great Album, 9 Jun 2002
Sita the 21 year old Dutch singer is amazing. She has only been around for half a year an has already made it big in Holland, Germany and across Europe so now its our turn to see her. Track 1 is her debut single Happy. Happy is incredibly catchy pop song which has great lyrics and great vocals probably one of the best on the album. Track 2 is jerk which is a fast rock song with good lyrics and vocals and a great beat. Track 3 is Selfish which is a catchy Ballad With stunnig vocals which will live goosebumps on your back. Track 4 is Hello which is a brilliant Pop song which is incredibly Catchy, Good vocals but typical cheesy lyrics but a brillant song. Track 5 and 6 are a perfect example of Sita's Talents with cathchy tunes. Track 7 is called I surrender, it is a catchy sweet ballad whih is an amazing song. Track 8,9,10 and 11 are more atchy songs ith mixes of country/rock and pop in the songs. Track 12 is Whenever is a cool pop/rock song which is great to chill to. Overall a great album if yu lik Happy you'll love this album.
