Both my son and I think this is just the cutest book. We read it on my Kindle all the time. It's funny and silly and just perfect for kids. The illustrations look great on my Kindle Touch.

My son is 5, and he's already getting into trying to read it himself.

We can't wait to read more of Mr. Hawksley's books.

My dearest is a Red Hat lady, so I wanted to read a picture book about hats. A fun story, light and breezy, oh so easy. Should be a favorite of pre-school set.

My four-year-old preschool students tend to like Gerald's books (this is the third one of his books that I have downloaded). I was pretty confident that they would enjoy this one. We weren't dissapointed.

I love his use of rhymes. While the rhythm gets off on some of the rhymes, it generally flows well.

This tells the story of a group of people who have old hats, but they don't worry because a "Happy Hatster" will come and give them a hat for happy hat day. It's good, clean, and very silly fun. My daughter (age 3) laughed at the picture of birds building nests in the old hats.

I would have given it five stars had it not been for the funky rhythm towards the end.
