As a big Uncle Kracker fan, I love any new album he releases, so I was thrilled when this finally became available to customers in the UK. I have good memories of his No Stranger to Shame album, so for me this new album had a lot to live up to. Steering clear of his background in rap, Happy Hour is a feel-good album full of his more popular soft rock style songs. With humourous and heartwarming lyrics, this is an album that'll get plenty of playtime for many years. If you liked 72 and Sunny, you'll love Happy Hour! There's a bit of everything on this album (including a rather funky homage to Whitesnake). His voice is warm and familiar, and he has an unbelievable knack of sounding like a friend singing you tales of his travels across America. He's an incredible storyteller and Happy Hour makes me feel good as soon as I press play!
