More About the Author

Trisha Ashley writes romantic comedies, and her latest novel,Wish Upon a Star, was her fifth consecutive Sunday Times Top Ten bestseller. Her novels have twice been shortlisted for the Melissa Nathan award for Romantic Comedy and Every Woman for Herself was nominated by readers as one of the top three romantic novels of the last fifty years.
She is from St Helens in West Lancashire, and believes that her typically dark Lancashire sense of humour in adversity, crossed with a good dose of Celtic creativity from her Welsh grandmother, have made her what she is today...whatever that is. Five of her novels are set in rural West Lancashire and three in Wales. They frequently explore aspects of the three F's that are a constant in her own life: Food, Flowers and Friendship and include delicious recipes at the back.
Nowadays she lives in North Wales, together with the neurotic Border Collie foisted onto her by her son, and a very chancy Muse.
She is the founder member of NW Novelistas Ink, a group of twelve novelists, several of whom are bestselling, who meet regularly in North Wales; she is also a long term member of the Society of Authors and a member of Literature Wales.
Her new novel, a reprint of Every Woman for Herself, will be published on May 8th, 2014. The dysfunctional Rhymer family, the result of a failed attempt by their father to recreate the Brontes, gather together at the Upvale Parsonage for what might well turn out to be the last time....
Trisha has a website at where you can find out more about her, sign up for her newsletter, or see a complete list of her books. You will also find her on twitter as @trishaashley.

Product Description

This title offers more romance - with humour - from a well-loved author.Tina Devino is the moderately successful author of several 'sex-and-gardening' novels, who aspires to bestsellerdom. As do her clients. In addition to her writing, Tina is a 'literary consultant', who uses her own experience of the trials and tribulations of the publishing business to advise other would-be authors.Except for a romantic novelist, Tina's own life leaves a lot to be desired - her on-off lover, the exotic former Russian ballet star, Sergei, seems to be drifting away (possibly towards his own sex), and her position on the salubrious fiction list is threatened by younger, more glamorous writers. Can Tina face up to these challenges and achieve the fame, fortune and happy ending to which she aspires?

5.0 out of 5 stars Tina! Tina! Tina! 8 April 2009
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
As you can tell from the other reviews, you will either love or not love Happy Endings. It's different than the usual fare. Put me firmly in the "love it" category! I find this book a wonderful departure, truly funny in a very whimsical way. Tina is a wonderful protagonist and sure, the supporting characters are quirky but they are funny, funny, funny. There is indeed a plot, but it's not your typical, predictive one. (I love how Tube Man turns out - just like he probably would in real life!) Kudos to Trisha for coming up with something truly original and entertaining. Long live Tina!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not so happy reading 18 Jun 2008
Let me start by saying that I love Trisha Ashley's books. My favorite is Every Woman For Herself followed closely by Singled Out. I was very disappointed with Happy Endings however. The romantic male lead was not romantic or even appealing. I found him an irritating git. Most of the "conversations" in the book consisted of Tina recounting what had happened rather than the characters talking directly to each other. I kept waiting for it to get better (and for a real "hero" to emerge) but it never happened. The ending was a real let-down. While there were parts of the book that I liked, for the most part I felt it didn't match up to any of her earlier novels. I hope her next novel is back up to her usual high and thoroughly enjoyable standards. She is a witty and clever writer.
