I love this wee book, it's basically the gist of what his book Being Happy is about. If you're not familiar with his books, he has all these inspiring tid bits of information featured in the corner of each page, and its these little tid bits that are packed into this little pocket sized book for good reference and inspiration. I like to read it from cover to cover now and again (it only takes 10-15 minutes) and its good way to cheer yourself up and get inspired.

If you have other books by the author then what's in this book will not be new to you, seeing that what is in it are his catch phrases from his other two books. You can grab a magic marker and highlight these phases in his other books, (Follow your heart or Being happy), and save yourself the money. I bought it, liked it and then gave it away as a gift. This book and the spanish versions are just a way for publishers to make more money. It's small, quick to read and Non Religious, I'd say it make a good gift for those that enjoy self motivation titles or shows like Dr. Phil. Three stars for it not being a bad book, but not one with new material.

This book provides food for thought served with a large dose of laughter. Mr. Matthews shares wisdom and wit in his endeavor to explain the key to true happiness.
This little volume will put a smile on your face and inspiration in your heart.
It took me about ten minutes to read the book and it was time well spent. The advice for finding happiness is right on target and the original cartoons are just delightful.
This is the kind of book that should be read over and over again. It is a simple and effective reminder that we can be happy....if we want to be.

We sent 'Happiness in a Nutshell' as a gift to our daughter and son-in-law in Boise, Idaho an hour ago--a delightfully simple book, reading just one page with the Nutshell and accompanying funny cartoon gives an instant lift to my day.
