--------------------------------

A story of death and birth, of weakness and endurance, of cooperation and confrontation.

It is by turns gripping, moving, violent, polemical and provocative.

In her portrayal of 7 women struggling to survive on a snowbound mountainside, Carole Spearing McCauley raises questions about the human, as well as women's condition.

Set in New England I found myself trying to picture the actual spot this could have taken place. A true testimit to the strength of "real" women. I wanted more, so I am reading all of Carol's stories.
