This series is totally and completely fantastic in so many ways .
The stories will live for children for ever and ever as one says .
The physical presentation in as magical as the stories and it so marvellous to see these timeless stories renewed once agian for the new generations to enjoy as much as we did when we were children.

Years roll by and the simple tale keeps it s magic and entertains and educates- the new illustrations are very apt if Laura Ashleyist!

We have bought quite a few of this series for our 2yr old and they are lovely classic fairy tales for bedtime stories. Out of them all, we have not read this so much as it is a bit more "dark" than most of the others. It is perhaps more suitable for slighly older children. The gingerbread man, princess and the pea, or Dick Whittington have been more popular.
