Numbered pages with easy-to-follow text.

Example of text:-

'Once upon a time a boy and girl called Hansel and Gretel lived with their father and stepmother in a little house beside a big forest.
The family was very poor and never had enough to eat.
One night, when the children were in bed, their stepmother said, "Let's take Hansel and Gretel into the forest and leave them there."
"Oh, no! I won't do that," said their father.
"I love my children!"..........

However, despite the sentiment, wicked stepmothers have a knack of getting their own way and Hansel and Gretel do end up lost in the woods, despite a successful initial escape with a path of pebbles......
.....and, ultimately, in grave danger in the witch's gingerbread house.
But these hungry children have other ideas........and it is a happy ever after story....eventually!

There are a number of 'FIRST FAIRY TALES' titles to choose from and these are listed on the very last page.
And if you have read all of them, there is a short list of 'COLOUR CRACKERS' titles, too!
