This is a 28 inch TV that does exactly what it says on the tin. Perfect for the bedroom (or a small lounge room), the picture quality is vibrant and the sound is good too. There are plenty of inputs (including HDMI & VGA if you want to hook up your PC) and outputs (I also feed the audio out to a amp for movies though not really necessary). The Freeview tuner is also easy to set up for those not too techie and seems to work well. I don't use this function too much and would probably need a better antenna to get all the channels perfect instead of my crappy rabbit ears. I would recommend this TV to anyone that's on a budget and doesn't care about brand. Incidentally, I also have a 37 inch Hanspree in the lounge and the only problem I've ever had with that was the sound, but this doesn't seem to be an issue for this one.

I would like to give this product 5 star, as the specification and picture quality is amazingly good, were it not for the difficulty and frustration in finding remote codes for Hannspree which at the moment is un resolved and likely to stay that way until Top TV and Sky issue codes for this great telly.
Hannspree offer a 2 year guarantee with free pick up and the staff at the UK office are very helpful, but could not deal with the remote code issue. However it is early days yet for a new American product in this country, and hopefully Hannspree will provide remote codes soon.
After getting aquainted with the TV menu it is possible to configure the picture quality exactly, and is worthwhile. Standard picture settings for me were too rich in colour and backlight/contrast. Also the sound default settings were thin and tinny until these were altered and resulted in a more natural smooth sound.
For those of you who are interested the settings that I think are good are:-
PICTURE
Brightness 50 - Contrast 50 - Colour 25 - Flesh Tone Off - Backlight 85 - Sharpness 0 - Colour temperature Normal or Warm
SOUND EQUALIZER
120 HZ 1 / 500 HZ -1 / 1.5 KHZ 2 / 5 KHZ 3 / 10 KHZ 1/AVL On
I like the 16/10 screen size ratio which when set with the TVs zoom function works very well using nearly all the space available for a non widesceen broadcast.
Too sum up without getting too boring a super product with high spec at a budget price.

NEARLY RIGHT

Disappointed
