The HANNspree Xv-S Photo Alarm Clock SG4311SB features a 4.3 inch LCD screen with a translucent decorative cover. Large and intuitive buttons, together with the traditional alarm clock switch design makes for ease of use. The modern functional design is also the winner of the 2009 Good Design Award. Six different styles of animated wallpaper are available and may be set to change for special holidays or themes. The SG4311SB may also act as digital photo frame, music player and an FM receiver. The USB 2.0 port can be used to transfer photos and music effortlessly. Even if the SG4311SB runs out of power, all of your settings will be retained for up to 3 days, saving time and effort. I bought this as a birthday present for my girlfriend. It's just 'acceptable', I hope it goes wrong so I can get my money back.
The screen looks OK, the clock and alarm work but even though it displays a calendar, there's no way of setting any alarms or notices for birthdays as described - you have to manually switch the wallpaper - pointless. -1*
Only holds one user loaded picture -1*
if you want changing wallpapers you'll have to leave the USB stick in - not pretty! -1*

Looks good and modern. Few minor things could be better. But I have found one MAJOR fault with mine not sure if its happened to others. Last week I was working early so set the alarm for 6am and switched it on at the back. Everyday I was woken by my parents or woke up myself after 6 but before 7 not remembering switching the alarm off. I tested it when I got home and it was working fine the music track I put on there started playing. Yesterday I was woken at 5.30 by my phone then saw the clock hit 6 and the alarm did not go off. So set it for 6.02am and it went off. Set it for 6.02 this morning and nothing again. It seems like it will not go off unless you set it the same day???????? Don't waste your money!
Another fault occured 09/11/10. Finally decided to put my clock back an hour and as I was adjusting the time the clock switched off. Now all that happens is the hannspree logo appears clock switches off continuously.

the description for this clock radio sounded promising, but it doesnt live up to it.
The radio is poor wouldnt wake anyone up even on the highest volume. The alarm only appears to work sometimes. I stopped using it as I had no faith in it. The screen is very right but there is no dimmer switch. If you have the radio on, you cannot see what time it is. It is hard to navigate between all the functions to do things whixch are simple on a normal clcok radio. I now realise this is aimed at 10 year olds judging at the various screens you can have, and will try and palm it off on my nephew.
