A superb HDTV at a very good price!,

This review is from: Hannspree 28-inch Full HD 1080p LCD TV with Digital Tuner (Electronics)
The first review pretty much somes up this TV - yes it is very light and I too found how easy it can be to tip this TV over when your setting it up - so be careful! Setup is extremely quick and easy - it probably took less then 1 minute for the TV to find all the channels.THE PICTURE QUALITY IS STUNNING particularly when I am playing blu-rays or my xbox 360 and even my standard defintion sky seems to look alot better. I really wouldnt consider the 1 scart socket an issue because the TV also has 2 hdmi ports, a VGA port + loads more which means I have my sky box, blu-ray player and xbox 360 connected to this TV without having to use a scart splitter cable. I think this TV is agreat option for anyone looking for a medium size full HD TV and it is great value for money!

I bought this Television 2 weeks ago to replace an old 26" Rear projection TV which was on its last legs. The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the box and setting it up was that it is a really light TV; this is both a blessing and a curse. The TV being so light is easy to set up and move around but also can be easy to tip over if caught when moving around it (as I found out whilst setting it up - although I caught it before it fell over)Once I have it unpacked and wired up I turned the power on and was very surprised to see that after selecting the country and time zone the TV noticed that it had no stored channels and went immediately into auto scan mode and programmed in both the Analogue and Digital TV channels without me having to navigate the menu looking for setup. (Don't forget to plug the arial into the TV before you turn it on for the first time :)) Once the auto setup had finished I did not even need to select which channels were on what station as it automatically arranged them correctly. The picture quality is as you would expect from a full HD TV and on HDMI with 1080P input it is crystal clear and bright. Picture quality also looks better on normal definition TV than it looked on my old TV. No review would be complete without some CON's and there are some... There is ONLY 1 scart socket on the TV so expect to but a Scart splitter cable if you have cable / DVD/Blue ray players to wire up that use scart cables. The unit is very light, and children may well cause issues if playing close to it. The TV does not have support for surround sound systems such as Dolby digital 5.1 and such. All in all for the price this is an excellent TV and has a really clear and sharp screen, you can not go wrong with this one as long as you take note of the CON's. Hope this helps you all.

Received this tv finally after 1st order did not arrive due to sender beenout of stock(did receive with no concerns within 3 days from 2nd sender). Bought this due to reading many reviews on line, some not so good, but some, sorry MANY said that it is simply brilliant. When I first tuned in the tv(tuning is easy just follow the on-screen menu as stated in other reviews)& saw the picture,I was shocked..it was so BAD. In seeing this I adjusted the settings till what seemed like the very early hours of the morning. Then bang, this HANNSPREE just took off with outstanding performance,on all levels. If your after a tv smaller than 32",but not to small to affect viewing quality &,with stunning picture & sound..this is it! For the price,"This TV Is A No Brainer".........Highly Recommended. Up-date review(28-02-10): Highly recommended with any HD source, also excellent in SD!! Under my original review there is a comment by a "clemenzina",yes it does"REALLY SHINE"in hd(skyhd & blu-ray)but,even with the tv just hooked up to our sky+ box (which is non hd)the Picture(& to some degree the sound)is Excellent. Do make sure not to view the screen at to far of a "off-set" angle, not great if you view from below or above the screen either. Viewing distance,we find that 7 to 8ft away is fine but, other`s may find other distances may suit. To sum-up,...THIS TV IS...V.H.R(Very.Highly. Recommended). PROS: Size Price Sound 1080p Full HD Picture(HD & SD) Two hdmi connections Flexibility for connection CONS: Viewing angle Not a big name Thank You For Reading. ---------------------------------- Up-Date Review 22.02.11. One Year: I`m gonna keep this as short as possible, now,I`m not doubting any review on this tv that is less than four stars...but let me state in a full 12 months that,"This Hannspree hdtv has NOT given ANY problems/issues what- so-ever"!..still has 12 more months left on the warranty, still outstanding... still...."Very Highly Recommended"...still..Five Stars!!
