This HannsG monitor was purchased for a computer being built by Mesh with Windows 8.1, that is why it is touchscreen. I have only tested it on my older Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista and an ATI Radeon HD 3650(HT231) card. It is a very bright display preset to 100 on the adjustment scale. I suggest that is reduced to 80% and the contrast increased to 80% from preset 50%. First of all, I spent 10 minutes looking for the control buttons which were said to be on the front panel, seeing if they were hidded behind any plastic moulding. They are in fact small and black and behind the front panel at the bottom of the right hand side facing the screen. When first plugged in, the display may well look too enlarged and a bit fuzzy. The display area needs to be set to be 1920x1080. I tried this from the ATI Catalyst Control Centre,Display Manager, Desktop Area, forcing to this value. The screen displayed that this was out of range and went blank. I had to invoke the Pocket Cloud App on my iPad to access the screen and then reset it to lower definition. The solution was to right click on the background, go to 'personalise', then Display Settings, and again select 1920x1080. I think the screen improves in sharpness after running for about an hour. The colours are brilliant and the blacks good. I do a lot of digital editing of photos and videos, so look forward to using it for this. I will only be able to test the touchscreen facility when the Windows 8.1 computer arrives. The adjustment is firm and holds it at any suitable angle. Remove the stickers at the bottom to give a clean finish without distraction.
