The HL225DBB is the first 22 inch widescreen display from HannsG's new stylish LED TFT range. The HL225DBB presents crisp, precise picture quality with a 15000000:1 ultra high dynamic contrast ratio, thanks to HannsG's proprietary X-Contrast technology taking care of darker black colour and brighter white colour. A 5 ms response time improves the fluidity of dynamic images to ensure video and game play is sharp and void of motion blur.
Aside from the obvious dimensions advantage that LED technology allows, the HL225DBB monitor also benefits from being better for the environment. LED backlighting dramatically improves the energy efficiency of a monitor in comparison to LCD/CRT monitors and, with less hazardous and poisonous materials the monitors are more recycling friendly.

I bought this monitor based purely on my experience with previous HannsG monitors, all of which have been fantastic value for money. This one is no exception.
I chose this specific model over others because it's LED backlit, which results in a lighter, sleeker monitor with lower power consumption and in theory at least nicer contrast.
Connected up with a single-channel DVI-D cable the picture is lovely at full 1920x1080 (after doing a quick auto-adjust - found the picture was a little blurry before doing this). Windows is a joy to work in and there's bags of work space to play with. The viewing angle is pretty good too. Not that really matters 99% of the time.
I'm by no means an expert on monitors and have nothing high-end to compare this with, but as far as I'm concerned images / video / games / windows look and feel great on this screen, I really couldn't ask for anything more (other than perhaps a DVI cable in the box, which isn't included...). Overall I wouldn't hesitate to buy this screen if you're considering it.

I'm giving this 5 stars for picture quality. Compared to my previous 19' Viewsonic - the image is noticeably brighter with much greater contrast. Bluray images look very clean.
One note of caution - you can only remove the base of the stand if you want to wall mount - you cannot remove the column that connects the base to the monitor itself. Therefore monitor stand design from me gets 2 out of 5 stars. Having said all that - love the monitor itself. Remember also that this monitor has no speaker.

Very good value for money and certainly impressed with the quality of the monitor
Was confused from the description whether the monitor had speaker or not but for the price you can't complain. The screen adjustment control are somewhat fiddly to use and the instructions are very brief. neither of these small points detracted from the quality of the monitor or the rapid delivery from Amazon

Almost excellent
