Early Roman Military History 21 Mar 2010
By Marco Antonio Abarca - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
If your child is into Roman military history, this book is a must purchase. Peter Connolly is one of the great illustrators of the ancient world. His speciality is taking archaeological objects and adding life to them through vividly constructed recreations. What makes this book unique is that it follows the Roman Republic from its early struggles with the Etruscans through its epic life and death battle with Hannibal Barca. If you have the type of kid who wonders what Samnites, Etruscans, Celts and Carthaginians looked like, this is the book for you. Highly recommended.
