If you love gene wilder then you'll love this comedy / thriller which also stars the late gilda radner (lady in red & Haunted Honeymoon)& Richard Widmark. Really good Typical Gene Wilder Moments in this movie. all you needed was richard pryor and this movie could of been as well known as stir crazy & Silver streak.Don't miss this movie......it's fab!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After having watched Hanky Panky, it is difficult to avoid drawing comparisons with Silver Streak. Unlike this effort Silver Streak had style, humour and suspense. Wilder displays an exaggerated manic reaction to the events that surround him in this thriller and simply fails to entertain. Perhaps he felt that he had to carry the load on his own. Although watchable,it is not fair to suggest that this is a movie that lives up to the Hitchcock genre,hence the three stars.

Not much to add to the previous review,but for me this is Wilders best film.It contains all the wit and laughs you'd expect and a good plot.The scene in a helicopter over the Grand Canyon is probably the films highlight.A thoroughly enjoyable movie.
