The book is easy to read and an excellent training guide with lots of hands-on exercises. The book explains reasonably well all the tasks and transformations with examples and cuts down on learning curve.

I especially liked the data flow chapters and the review sections given after the exercises where author discusses more ways to do the same thing or what else could be done.

The de-duplication example was particularly helpful for me to develop a real life solution.

SSIS 2005 Handbook 8 Sep 2009
Format:Paperback
I found this book easy to understand and especially hands on exercises in every chapter boosts you to quickly design and develop SSIS 2005 packages. I started creating SSIS packages after reading first few chapters of this book and it serves as a complete handbook for creating, desigining and developing SQL Server Intergration Services 2005 packages.

SSIS is (in my opinion) a very average tool. This book does explain how to get the best out of it though, and for that I was very grateful. Probably needs updating for 2008 version, but still a great and hand reference guide.
