Review

"...brilliant for revision and last minute cramming!"

Cambridge Medicine – Jan 2001

"...if you are looking for a book that covers frequently–used drugs, and provides you with all the basic information, then this book should be on your list, plus at #9.99 it won′t break the bank either"
Barts and the London Chronicle/Autumn 2000

"...I would recommend this book and can envisage it useful both on the wards and as a revision tool for a long time to come."

Black Bag, Bristol Medical School Gazette/Freshers Ed 00

"This book has clearly excelled, as a quick reference learning tool – one that in my opinion was long overdue needed by clinical students and particularly house officers." Guy′s Gazette/May2000

"Ever wondered how many more pocket books you could possibly pack into your white coat? Well make room, there′s one more."

"This is a good ward companion, should space permit, or a concise accompaniment to a more comprehensive pharmacology text. A good buy at under #10.00." Student BMJ

"If you have the contents of this guide at your finger–tips you will be truly well–armed." International Journal of Pharmacology & Therapeutics

"So whether you′re revising for your finals pharmacology or you′re just plain confused about the pharmacology you′ve done so far, this book is a great help." Medics and Dentists Magazine

Listen up, Nurses! 15 Oct. 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
At last an attractive alternative to the tedious and time-consuming pharmacology books around! Info on over 100 commonly used drugs is beautifully laid out on one page per drug, and all you would ever want to know is there: how the drug works, what it's used for, the side effects, clinically important notes and much more. And what's more, it is different to any other pharmacology book in that it distinguishes between common and rare side effects (clinically, a very valuable distinction). This neat little book also tells you the pharmacological management of common medical conditions such as an acute asthma attack or Parkinson's Disease. As a nurse, I have found "Hands-on Guide to Clinical Pharmacology" a very valuable companion to my practice in hospital! And even better, it's really cheap.

this book is just what is missing on the medical student book market. have you ever seen a pharmacology textbook shorter than 200 pages? this book is a very valuable guide to your pharmacology revision: it is both concise and informative, written by medical students who know what it is expected of them. i can heartily recommend it to anyone studying medicine or pharmacology.
