I LOVE this book - it offers lots of different suggestions for crafty ideas to personalise your wedding, with hints and tips on how you can adapt it to fit your theme. It suggests some interesting places to look for inspiration (perfume bottle packaging, flea markets, etsy, ebay) and has some really cute ideas for ways to make your day your own. The best thing about it is you can combine ideas - for example, they have several invite ideas and you could use the edging from one with the embossing from another and the printing of a third to make something truly unique. They have lots of online templates to use, as well as suggestions for what things are worth tackling yourself (in terms of time and effort - e.g. making invitations, 'just married' signs, ring cushions) and what things are best left to others (wedding dress making, large scale catering). This is one of my favourite wedding books so far, along with DIY wedding by Kelly Bare (fabulous ideas, but no photos!). This has clear instructions, simple inspirational projects and beautiful photography - I'd highly recommend it. Some of the ideas are a bit eccentric, but would suit a homespun wedding - garlands made of cupcake wrappers, anyone? Some of the projects look really professional (bridesmaids' hairbands, felt corsages, ruffle roll purses) and would make great birthday/Christmas gifts at any time!
