After owning and using a Black and Decker "Dustbuster" for 6 years, the time came for an updated purchase as poor old B&D went to heaven ...Purchased a bagless cyclone cyclonic cylinder vacuum cleaner (sounds good)as a replacement...what a disaster !!! Wife has not stopped moaning about the new machine...poor suction..Brush useless..wont push easy..sticks to carpet..dont pick up..She never used to swear ...She does now !!!! total waste of money...Black and Decker here i come !!!

i thought this hoover would be a bit abit more powerful than it is! takes ages to charge then doesnt really last for long! i find it only picks up when pushed in a certain direction which isnt great! for the price i dont think its worth it i only kept it because i have rsi and my hoover is too heavy to hold whilst on stairs so good for use on stairs but not if a heavy traffic area as not a great suction. would not recommend!

Due to the configuration of my house, I needed a lightweight vacuum that could be kept in my sitting room, which is separate and upstairs from the rest of my abode. I wanted something that I could secrete away when not in use and the item is certainly compact enough to allow this. It arrived charged but I followed the instructions and charged it for 13 hours anyway. Assembly was a cinch and achieved without reference to the instructions and within minutes of it arriving I was able to give it a quick test and was delighted to see what it had picked up.

If you are looking for anything other than a supplemental vacuum then this isn't for you. This is robust enough for a quick whizz around between major clean ups or to use in a situation, like mine, where lugging a heavy Dyson up stairs means that you'd rather get on your hands and knees and pick up crumbs etc.

As an aside the instructions provide a bit of a laugh as they warn you.

STUMPS WITH FIRE IS FORBIDDEN. Don't say you weren't warned. They go on to offer the following problem to which they have a solution :-

BATTERY'S WORING TIME BECOME SHORTER (The solution confirms my suspicion that there is a spelling error here)

Rounded off with some no nonsense advice written with an exasperated sigh I'll wager :-

PROBLEM - Motor Stops Moving................................................SOLUTION - CHARGE IT.

Joking aside, this is exactly what I was looking for and consequently I would have no hesitation recommending this to anyone in a similar situation to mine.
