The PTV 600 has multiple functions - It can serve as a set-top box at home, in good reception areas, & as a companion handheld TV for leisure when away from home. It can receive digital radio channels & offers seamless switching between the built-in telescopic antenna & external antenna.The handheld tv has a very wide view angle & a rechargeable polymer battery with a typical 3.5 hr operating time.There is a optional antenna with a magnet to enhance reception (included). The Tv can be recharged or powered direct from the mains or car (adaptors/chargers included)There is a earphone socket (earphones not included) & the TV works in moving vehicles. The unit has been sucessfully used when travelling at 70 MPH. Supports 19:9 & 4:3 different aspect ratios & has the following On Screen Display Languages : English. German, French, Portugese, Spanish, Italian, Dutch,Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese. Please note: the number of channels across the UK does vary from area to area, so we are not in a position to predict the precise number of channels you can receive in your locality. In tests in 2006, the PTV 600 typically received in excess of 50 channels in UK metropolitan areas.Digital signal levels are due to double starting in 2008 further enhancing reception. Please check Freeview availability in your area at www.freeview.co.uk Please ensure you can receive the Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) service in your region.
