A Fellow of the Royal Society, Gosse was one of Britain's great naturalists of the seaside, an expert on sea anemones, and a widely admired science writer. Over 150 years old, his Handbook is a fascinating window into the earliest days of aquarium keeping. Complete facsimile of 1856 edition.

As a beginner to the marine aquarium world, I was hoping for clear pointers/instructions but I found this book very difficult to read.
It was not what I expected.
