This book easily contains more typos and instances of poor grammar than I have ever seen in my adult life. It's as if nobody proofread the book at all. Furthermore, the information contained within the book is nothing exceptional. Even it barely rises to the level of three stars on a number of occasions.
ASIS International may have made this book required reading for its CPP certification, but that sure doesn't mean this book is a work of art. If a buyer is doing so for the purposes of the ASIS CPP certification, then ASIS has painted you in a corner. However, other than that, there is no good reason to purchase this book because it is not the only one on the planet. If I were teaching a college course on the overall topic of security, I would NOT select this as a course textbook. I would be embarrassed to have my students read such a poorly written book.
I actually had to fight my true inclination to give this book a two stars rating.
